The University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley is confirming a case of tuberculosis on its Brownsville campus.
The university says the unidentified campus community member is getting medical care and has been isolated. Cameron County Public Health tells KRGV-TV that the case is linked to an exposure investigation at the Kiddie City Academy in Brownsville.
The health department is working to test children and staffers at the daycare facility and others who may have been exposed on the Brownsville campus.
