By The interim superintendent of the Hidalgo school district is stepping down. Fernando Castillo announced earlier this week that he will be leaving on April 4th.
The Hidalgo ISD board voted 4-3 to accept Castillo’s resignation, with some members feeling he was forced out by political maneuvering. Castillo was named interim superintendent last November.
