Twelve Indicted For Alleged Assaults At La Villa Detention Center

Federal prosecutors have indicted 12 people for allegedly attacking officers at a detention center in La Villa.

Investigators say two correctional officers were assaulted in January at the East Hidalgo Detention Center. Ten people from Mexico and two from Guatemala were indicted on charges related to the assaults.

Prosecutors say the men could face up to eight years in prison if they are convicted.
