Mexican authorities say two men are in custody following the death of a South Texas man last week. Eighty-one-year-old Jose de la Luz Martinez Ramirez of Mission was found dead on Saturday near the Anzalduas International Bridge. He was last seen alive in Reynosa on Thursday.
The Tamaulipas Attorney General’s Office says the two men arrested yesterday are thought to be responsible for the elderly man’s death. Their names and pictures will not be made public to protect their right to due process.
