Judge Grants Temporary Restraining Order Against Sullivan City

0

A district court judge has granted a temporary restraining order against officials in Sullivan City. The city’s mayor filed a lawsuit on Friday over claims that the City Council acted improperly to hire a new attorney to handle special projects.

The suit accuses a “rogue faction” of the council of violating the city charter and the Texas Open Meetings Act. The judge plans to hold a hearing on the restraining order this Thursday.
