A former Houston public works manager accused of bribery will serve ten years in prison under the terms of a plea deal. Patrece Lee bilked taxpayers out of more than 700 thousand dollars while working for the Houston Public Works Department.

Lee transferred emergency water line repair funds to her brother’s construction company, as well as taking kickbacks from other companies. Following an investigation, she was arrested last year. She will testify against five co-defendants in the case, including her brother.
