The Texas Health Department has fired two more workers for accessing the private information of those receiving Medicaid and food stamps, bringing the total number to nine.
Cecile Young, who heads Health and Human Services, did not give details on these latest firings. But she told lawmakers one of them worked in the fraud division.
Two workers, who were previously fired, are accused of manipulating food stamp cards so they could make illegal purchases.
