Texas lawmakers think they’ve found an easy way to save the state tons of money. Right now, the guardsmen who are securing the southern border are there under orders from Governor Greg Abbott.
State Senator Joan Huffman says, if the order instead comes from the White House, then the federal government would pick up the check. She says that would save the state 200-million dollars a month.
