Investigators in La Joya say a man was electrocuted over the weekend after touching power lines with a saw.
Fifty-four-year-old Vicente Morgado was reportedly trimming branches of a mesquite tree at a church on South Leo Street on Saturday morning. He died before he could be taken to the hospital.
A police spokesman says Morgado was removing the branches to keep them from touching power lines during this week’s cold weather.
