Progreso’s city manager has a new contract. The city council offered Pedro Trevino a one-year contract paying 80-thousand dollars on Tuesday.

Trevino was hired as interim city manager in November after Alfredo Espinoza announced his retirement. He had to step into the position a little early after the council fired Espinoza on December 12th. He’ll be paid about 24-thousand dollars less than Espinoza was paid last year.
