Republicans are bashing the effort. Texas Congressman Ronny Jackson worries that this will drive smokers to light up more often. And that, he says, will increase cancer risks.
This is not the first time this administration has tried to put more restrictions on smoking. A previous push to ban menthol cigarettes fell flat.
