Pearland police are trying to find a driver who killed a horse and injured its rider in a hit-and-run accident last Saturday night. The crash happened around 7:40 p.m. on Oday Road south of McHard Road.
Investigators say a car hit the horse and rider and then sped away. The rider is home from the hospital, but the horse had to be euthanized at the scene. Police are looking for a small white sedan with front-end damage on the passenger side, and missing its passenger-side mirror, which stayed at the scene of the accident.
