UTRGV Football Stadium To Undergo Renovations Before First Season

Robert and Janet Vackar Stadium is set to undergo renovations ahead of U-T-R-G-V’s first-ever football season next fall.

State officials say the 20-million-dollar project will focus on renovating the locker rooms and press box at the stadium formerly known as H-E-B Park.

The stadium was renamed in March to honor the Vackars, who own the Bert Ogden Auto Group. UTRGV’s first football game is scheduled for August 30th.
