Progreso Assistant City Manager Fired After Drug Conviction

0

Progreso’s assistant city manager has been fired after pleading guilty to drug trafficking charges earlier this year. Interim City Manager Pete Trevino fired Frank Alanis on Thursday.

Alanis was not in the building when Trevino attempted to give him his termination letter, so Trevino reportedly gave the letter to Alanis’ wife. Alanis had worked for the city since 2004. He pled guilty to drug charges in October and will be sentenced next month.
