Judge Blocks Suspension Of Rio Grande City Police Chief

0

A judge is blocking the suspension of Rio Grande City’s police chief. Noe Castillo sued the city earlier this month after he was suspended for allegations of mismanagement during his time as deputy city manager. He claimed the city commission discussed his suspension without proper public notice, violating the Texas Open Meetings Act.

The judge agreed, issuing a temporary order blocking the suspension on Friday. A hearing on Castillo’s lawsuit is scheduled for next week.
