Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has sued the city of Dallas over newly-passed rules that handle low-level marijuana offenses. Voters approved a charter amendment that basically legalizes possession of small amounts of the drug.
Weed is still illegal in Texas and the lawsuit alleges the so-called Proposition R is unconstitutional. Similar suits have been filed against the cities of Austin and Denton.
