Officials are announcing what caused a piece of the roof at AT&T Stadium to fall onto the field on Monday evening.

A statement from the city of Arlington summed up the findings of a city building inspector, the deputy fire marshal, and the Cowboys organization. The metal piece that fell was the cover of a cable tray containing low-voltage electrical wires.

The cover hadn’t been properly secured, and when the roof was opened, the wind blew it loose. The mishap took place before Monday night’s game against the Houston Texans.
