UTRGV Opens Cybersecurity Center

The University of Texas-Rio Grande Valley is partnering with a state agency to launch a new cybersecurity center. A ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Regional Security Operations Center was held Thursday in Edinburg.

The university is working with the Texas Department of Information Resources to offer free cybersecurity services to government agencies in 28 counties. The partnership allows UTRGV students to get real-world experience that can help boost their careers in the cybersecurity industry.
