An Edinburg city employee is being praised for recently helping save the life of an infant. The neighbor of Assistant Public Works Director Larry Ayala came to his door looking for help after her one-week-old baby stopped breathing.

A video put together by the City of Edinburg shows Ayala saying that he used his CPR training to help revive the infant. Ayala says he doesn’t consider himself a hero, adding that he was just glad to be there to help his neighbor.
