Early voting in Bexar County for next month’s general election may set a record, based on Monday’s turnout.
County Elections Administrator Jacque Callanen said nearly 21-thousand residents had voted by 1 p.m. Monday. That demolished 2018’s previous record for a half day, when almost 15-thousand early ballots were cast.
Early voting started Monday and continues through November 1st. Callanen says the elections department has plenty of voting machines, but long lines resulted from eager voters.
