Remains Of Navy Crew Members Found In Crashed U.S.Jet

A U.S. Navy jet that crashed near Mount Rainier in Washington state has been found along with the remains of its two crew members. The Navy announced Sunday in a press release, “It is with a heavy heart that we share the loss of two beloved Zappers.”

The jet an EA-18G Growler aircraft went down during a routine training while carrying the two crew members on Tuesday. The crash debris were located by aerial search crews on a mountainside east of Mount Rainier on Wednesday after a multi-day search. The aircraft was assigned to the Navy’s Electronic Attack Squadron 130.
