The Richmond man on the run after being accused of killing his wife is now dead. Jhon Venegas Romero was found hanging from a tree in Needville in what police believe was a suicide.
Authorities have been looking for Romero since Monday, when police discovered his wife Anyi Montealegre Izquierdo dead in their mobile home. She had been stabbed to death, and Romero was thought to be her killer. Police are still investigating the circumstance that led up to Romero’s death.
