Cameron County is preparing for a possible launch from the SpaceX Starbase facility at Boca Chica Beach. The company announced earlier this week that it could launch its fifth Starship test flight on Sunday if it receives FAA approval.
The county has issued a beach and road closure notice for Sunday for “flight testing activities.” Additional closures are possible on Monday and Tuesday. Isla Blanca Park on South Padre Island will also close early on Saturday night and then will reopen at 3 a.m. on Sunday to admit those planning to watch the launch.
