TX Elections Will Key On Abortion, School Vouchers, And Control Of Congress

Texas residents will key on several major issues as they cast ballots in state and federal elections next month.

Voters will elect a U.S. senator, 38 U.S. House members, 150 state House members, and various judges and local officials. At issue are which party will control Congress, abortion restrictions in Texas and other states, and school vouchers.

U.S. Rep. Colin Allred is the Democratic challenger to Republican Sen. Ted Cruz in the Democrats’ effort to expand their one-seat majority in the Senate. Voter registration deadline is Monday.
