Gov. Greg Abbott says Texas is sending generators to Georgia to help areas left without power by Hurricane Helene. Abbott says the generators are being sent in response to a request from Georgia’s Emergency Management and Homeland Security Agency.

The governor says Texans know what it’s like to be on the receiving end of a hurricane and “will do all we can to help.” Last week, Texas A&M Task Force 1 was deployed to Florida before the storm made landfall.
