The city manager of San Juan has been suspended without pay. The San Juan City Commission, after meeting behind closed doors during Tuesday night’s meeting, decided to place Benjamin Arjona on unpaid leave for one week.

Commissioners didn’t say what prompted the suspension, nor did the mayor of San Juan, Mario Garza, except to say the move was a personnel matter. Arjona has been San Juan’s city manager for nine years.
