The City of Edinburg is adopting new rules for car washes to help conserve water. The rules approved last week will not allow the construction of new car washes within two miles of an existing car wash.
New car washes must also install water recycling and reclamation systems to reduce the amount of fresh water they use. Officials hope the new rules will enhance sustainability and water conversation in the city.
