Texas Bill Would Leave Daylight Saving Time Up To The Voters

0

A state senator is backing legislation that would make Sunday’s “spring forward” for Daylight Saving Time the last time it happens in Texas.

Senator Paul Bettencourt, a Houston Republican, filed Senate Bill 2029 and Senate Joint Resolution 67, which would put the time change before Texas voters in the November election.

Bettencourt’s bills would allow voters to decide whether they’d prefer Daylight Saving Time or standard time year-round. Election day is November 4th.
